Vulcan Tools HistoryA legacy of Innovation

The Vulcan Tool Corporation was founded in 1916. Starting out as a small tool and die shop, Vulcan expanded into one of the largest and most respected designers and manufacturers of tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and custom machinery in the Midwest.

Over the years, Vulcan and its product line expanded, and in the 1950s and 1960s the patented “Brehm” shimmy die and tube cutter were added to the product line.

In 1990, Vulcan became part of the Ruthman family of companies, expanding the “Brehm” line and adding other new and innovative products.  The Ruthman Companies association expands accessibility of Vulcan’s top-of-the-line products, resources and innovative technology to many more satisfied customers throughout Europe and Asia as well as the U.S.
